If the staff in the shelter thinks it is a threat to them or the other dogs it will be put to death. The author expresses this by giving an example of a dog. Also, the steps for this training are very simple but can show signs of serious anger problems.
The significance (importance) of this article is great. If someone's dog has anger problems it must be trained otherwise it could be a danger to the family. What I learned from this article is that 7400 dogs are put to death annually at Chicago Shelters.
What I liked about this article is that it really touches readers at how important it is to have a dog that is safe for your family and to realize the process of training if it is not.
What I did not like about it is that it states how so many dogs are put to death if they are a threat to society.
Who should read this article and why?
I think dog owners who have got their dog from a shelter should read this and to know that they saved a life.
